Description
Length: Grows to about 18 inches long.
Foods: Feeds mainly on meaty foods such as: sponges, finely chopped squid, mysis shrimp, broccoli, Angel Formula or foods enriched with Zoecon.
Reef Compatibility: Not recommended. Because this fish will eat corals and invertebrates.
Water Chemistry: Temp. 72-78F. Salinity 27-31ppt or 1.020-1.023 sg., pH 8.1-8.4. Does not fare well with fluctuations in temperature,salinity and pH.
Special Needs: This fish needs strong filtration such as a protein skimmer,u.v. sterilizer is recommended, needs a lot room to swim and it is very territorial, cannot be kept with other large angels from the same Pomacanthus family. Recommended for an established tank.
