Description
Lighting: Strong-2 Power Compacts bulbs, 2 V.H.O bulbs or Metal Halides are recommended.
Water Flow: Moderate.
Placement: Place on sand bed or on flat location where it will receive strong lighting.
Reef Supplements: Reef Supplements: Thrives with additions of Calcium, trace elements and phytoplankton.
Ease of Keeping: Maxima clams require more lighting than the derasa clam, recommended for an estalished reef tank.
Special Needs: Keep Calcium levels-(400ppm-450ppm) and Alkalinity levels-(2.5meq/L or dKH 7-8). To accelerate growth use phyoplankton.
